Which Bose SoundTouch models does SoundTouch Reborn support?
SoundTouch Reborn is designed for the SoundTouch family. We still check the exact model, firmware, network and device condition before every installation.
Supported device families
Hardware generation, firmware and previous configuration can vary within one product family. A model name alone cannot guarantee a completely trouble-free installation.
- Bose SoundTouch 10, 20 and 30
- Bose SoundTouch Portable
- SoundTouch SA-4 and SA-5 amplifiers
- Bose SoundTouch 300
- Wave SoundTouch III and IV
- Bose Wireless Link
- CineMate systems with SoundTouch
- Lifestyle systems with SoundTouch
Other requirements that matter
The device must start and be reachable on the local network. SoundTouch Reborn cannot repair faulty hardware, a damaged network module or missing access to your own home network. Remote support also requires a suitable computer on that network.
- The speaker powers on normally
- Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection to the home network
- access to the router or Wi-Fi credentials
- Windows 10/11 or macOS 12 and later for remote support
What is possible after setup
The basic setup includes internet radio, assigning the six preset buttons and local browser control. Multiroom groups and personal music from a NAS, FRITZ!Box or media server can be added depending on the setup. Individual project functions such as Spotify Connect or stereo pairs may still be in beta.
Have your model checked free of charge
If you do not know the exact model, send us a photo of the type label or describe the device in the enquiry form. We will check in advance whether it is generally suitable for your desired setup.
Further information
Information about the shutdown and remaining original functions is based on Bose's guidance. Details, downloads and public instructions for the independent open-source solution are available from the project.
